We have a lot of exciting things going on this year, including the publication of my novella, the first in the Trevor Graves Trilogy, The Fifth Line! A lot of me went into the creation of this book as it is the most autobiographical thing I've ever written. The story stars Trevor Graves, a character I intend to continue writing about for the short-term future, a troubled young man who works the night shift at a local convenience store. One day, after a grueling shift, he comes home and talks to his grandfather who is on Hospice before heading off to bed to recoup. Little did he know that this would be the last conversation he would ever have with his beloved Papaw.
The second event is a book signing at Mr. K's Used Books in Johnson City, TN. I've done a signing at Mr. K's before and had a great time. The signing will take place on Saturday, January 27th at 11 AM. It could be your chance to get some signed copies of The Fifth Line and, yes, Bunny Boy for your at-home book collection. More events could follow. Who knows, so long as schedules (and the stars) align.
That's all I got for you in this installment of From the Desk. I hope to talk to some of you at the two events I have lined up for 2024. It's going to be a great year!
